Sorry -- very brutal heatwave in Seattle this last week. The city hit 103 F, which set a record, but we live in Kirkland where it hit 105! Our apartment was probably even hotter than that. All we did last week was hop from air-conditioning to air-conditioning away from home. Between office, car, coffeehouses, bookstores, movies and restaurants we did all right, but there was just no question of Sara sitting in her study--with the computer on--for any length of time. She drew this placeholder page by hand at the (air-conditioned) library.

Things are starting to cool down now. We shall return next week.
