We've had the Privateer Princess idea kicking around for at least seven years now. It started as a one-on-one superhero role-playing game, occasionally dragging in a select group of other people. All along, we had the vague notion that someday we would do a webcomic set in that world. Finally we set about plotting it out in earnest, and, well, here we are.

Matt is also:

• A technical writer;
• A real writer (of one still-unpublished fantasy novel) and sometimes poet;
• A drummer, currently playing wild-man bongo drums in the Grant Mead Trio, a three-piece folk-funk band (CD due out this winter);
• The author of Nostromo Online (www.nostromoonline.com), a literary-criticism website featuring an in-depth analysis/celebration of Joseph Conrad's unutterably great novel "Nostromo."

Sara is also:
